Webinars

The webinars are designed for a broad audience including professionals working within the fields of visual impairment and special education, educators, rehabilitation professionals, counselors, family members and caregivers of individuals with visual impairment. Each session integrates current research, applied methodologies, practical frameworks and interdisciplinary perspectives to support evidence-based, effective and empathetic practice. 

Participation is open to professionals across disciplines seeking to expand their knowledge and competences in these fields and non-professionals alike, including those supporting family members or loved ones with visual impairment.  

Children with CVI - Cerebral or Cortical Visual Impairment

A range of webinars on CVI is offered to address the needs related to the assessment, intervention and educational support of children with CVI.

A webinar on low vision and blindness is offered to support the educational needs of preschool children and to advance the development of accessible and inclusive learning environments.

A series of webinars on audio description is offered to support the educational needs of individuals with low vision and blindness.

​Audio description (AD) is critically important for people with visual impairment because it provides access to visual information that sighted individuals take for granted, enabling them to fully experience and understand pictures, environments and events.
