CVI Alert Greece

CVI Alert Greece, an initiative by Vision Rehabilitation | SEC, is an attempt to increase awareness and understanding of Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) - the leading cause of visual impairment in children worldwide.

In Greece, awareness of CVI remains limited. Only a small number of specialists currently recognize and address the condition, while many families and professionals are still unaware of its symptoms and impact. This knowledge gap often delays diagnosis and access to essential support.

The mission is to inform, educate and empower families, educators and healthcare professionals to identify CVI early and understand how the brain processes vision. Through collaboration, education and advocacy, Vision Rehabilitation | SEC aims to bring into light this hidden condition and promote early intervention and a better quality of life to every child with CVI in Greece.
